The Bin-ovation App celebrated its first Birthday on 21st March in good company with over 4,000 Users in 8 Northern Ireland councils. Launched 12 months ago the App is transforming the way local councils interact with  their residents on all Waste collection matters. Armagh City & District Council launches on Bin-ovation!

DATE: 28 January 2015 Bin-formation at your fingertips Need to know which bin to put your waste in? Ever forget to leave your bin out? Not sure where your local Recycling Centre is? Armagh City and District Council has recently signed up to the Bin-Ovation App, which is revolutionising how people receive information on household recycling across Northern Ireland. This free of charge App is available for smart phones and tablets (iPhone and Android) and is being launched by the Council to assist householders with their recycling. Lord Mayor of Armagh City and District, Cllr Cathy Rafferty, said: “Bin-Ovation is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland and it will provide the Council’s residents with an easy to follow A-Z list of household waste materials and search facility – explaining what can and can’t be recycled. It also contains information on the Council’s Recycling Centres and Recycling on the Go facilities facilities. For those residents who might forget to leave their bin out, the App has the facility to send you a reminder to ensure you do not miss your collection – please download this App on to your smartphone or tablet today!”” The Bin-Ovation App provides a library of over 300 household items with photographs, instructions, and details of which bin/recycling centre to dispose of the item in.
